Like all other operators, Grameenphone also has the facilities of Friends and Family options which gives the subscriber to talk with some special numbers by very cheap rates. Lets know the procedures of FnF numbers Add,Change,View,Help etc for Grameenphone. This procedure is same for Pre-Paid and PostPaid subscribers.

How to Add New FnF:

Type newnumber <space>newnumber<space>newnumber in your message option and send 2888.
Example For More Than 1 Numbers: 017XXXXXXXX 017YYYYYYYY 017ZZZZZZZZ
Example For 1 Number: 017XXXXXXXX

How To Change FnF Numbers:

Type oldnumber<space>newnumber in your message option and send 2888.

Example: 017XXXXXXXX(Old Number) 017NNNNNNNN(New Number)

How To View FnF Numbers:

Type "FF" in your message option and send it to 2888 number.
Example: FF

How to Add Super FnF in Grameenphone:

Type SF <space>Mobile Number in your message option and send it to 2888 number.

How to Change Super FnF in Grameenphone:

Type SFC <space>Old Number<space>New Number in your message option and send it to 2888 number.

Internet settings for all mobile operators of Bangladesh

There are six mobile operators in Bangladesh and all provide different internet packages. Now problem is a lots of people don't know how to configure their mobile internet settings manually. For those who is suffering here my post.

For Teletalk 3G &2G:

WAP Setting:

Profile name: Teletalk-WAP

APN: wap

Port: 9201

Internet Setting:

Profile name: Teletalk-Internet

APN: wap (for bundle package) & gprsunl (for unlimited package)

Port: 9201

Proxy Address: 192.168.145.101

MMS Setting:

Profile name: Teletalk-MMS

APN: mms

You can also get this settings by sending an sms to the operator. Here the process-

Write "set" and send SMS to "738". 

In reply SMS you will get a configuration file. Please save the configuration file in your handset. In the time of saving the file please use a pre-configured password 1234.

For Grameenphone 2G:

Internet Setting:

Profile name: GP Internet

APN: gpinternet

MMS Setting:

Profile name:GP-MMS

APN: gpmms

MMSC: http://mms.gpsurf.net/servlets/mms 
Proxy: 10.128.1.2 Port: 8080 and 
Type: MMS

It's been long time I open this blog to help you people. Today I'm gonna help you with Teletalk 3G and all about it's features.

3G PREPAID OR POSTPAID:

Currently I've Gravity Postpaid package. It cost me only 250 Bangladeshi taka plus additional 1000 for security deposit. I'm happy with that because Prepaid connection will cost 900tk. Here are the recent package promotions-

• The default data speed up to 512 and can be migrated ranging from 256kbps to 2mbps as per data pack subscription.
• FNF number can be set both in onnet & Offnet and video call primarily applicable in onnet.

Setting Up Banglalion Wimax Indoor Unit

Setting Up Banglalion Wimax Indoor Unit (AW3 – Wireless): Basic Setup: * Connect the device to computer with the LAN cable. Turn the device on. On the browser go to URL http://192.168.1.1 This should open the device’s setup panel. You may need to refresh the page several times until get the interface (keep pressing F5). See Image – 1.

Image – 1 Enter Username: admin Password: admin and click on LOGIN. * Click on Basic Setup. If your username is already entered to the device, you don’t need to continue the ‘Basic Setup’ (the distributor probably had this done for you at the time of purchasing). But if you made a Reset – "Restore to Factory Default" or by hardware reset button (at the bottom of the device there is a small reset button. Turn on device, keep the button pressed with a pin or wire for few seconds to reset the device. Do this only, if it is really necessary), you should complete ‘Basic Setup’. Type your username following "@banglalion.com.bd" and as of this writing the password is 123456 for all accounts. See Image – 2 for example:

Image – 2 Click on "Confirm" button. This will bring a message window asking for confirmation to Reboot the device. Click OK and wait a while until it reboots. Basic setup is completed, that is – the machine now knows the username. It is also possible to browse the internet now, with the LAN cable attached. To access internet via ‘wireless’, you have to enable Wi-Fi. Enable Wi-Fi: On the browser, go to http://192.168.1.1 and login as before, Username: admin Password: admin Click on "Advanced Setup". Click on "Wi-Fi" (Image – 3)

Image – 3 Make "Radio Enable" – Enable "Network Mode" – 802.11 B/G/N mixed "SSID" – CUSTOMIZED Type a name for your network (replace ‘Your-Name’ on the image bellow), which will be shown on other device as ‘this’ wireless connection is available.
